REI: Engineering & Design Services
Rothe's engineering and design services are tailored to meet our customer's exact requirements. Our engineering team can create designs from scratch based on customer specifications or our design team can use drawings or models of existing hardware, conceptual requirements or a combination of these for a final design.
For the convenience of our government and commercial clients, and to provide true turn-key service, REI also offers in house Manufacturing Services and in house Calibration & Metrology Services.
  
Rothe's Engineering Capabilities Continue to Grow:
- Our projects are designed and developed using ProE solid 3D modeling. Structural analysis is performed using both Mechanica and NASTRAN. If dynamic or simulation studies are required, full dynamic and clearance analysis is performed using DENEB simulation software.
- The REI Engineering team also has proven capability in Ground Support Equipment (GSE) design, analysis, and testing. The best example of REI’s capabilities in this area is the Mating and Transportation Fixture (MTF) for NASA’s X-38 Crew Return Vehicle (CRV).
- Mockups and GSE are used primarily for crew and ground support personnel training, engineering evaluations, flight fit checks and in-flight maintenance operations.
