REI: Houston Manufacturing Capabilities
Rothe Manufacturing is located in an 18,000 SF facility at
920 Gemini St. in Houston, Texas (about two miles from Johnson
Space Center). The facility offers a wide range of manufacturing,
machining, welding, aerospace sewed fabrics (soft goods)
design and fabrication. We currently support the following

Welding Capabilities

REI Manufacturing Division maintains the capability of performing
welding operations in conjunction with our LMF division with
NASA.
Welding consumables are under controlled access and climate
controlled. Shelf life requirements are montiroed and maintained.

Programming Capabilities
Rothe
utilizes a Digital Network Control approach to Off-Line Programming,
using central programming computers, network-based program distribution
and storage, as well as AS9100 CNC program configuration control.
The programming tool of choice at Rothe is EdgeCAM. Below is
a screen shot of a 3D model being programmed via our EdgeCAM
software.
Our manufacturing software, EdgeCAM, can import files from Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks,
Solid Edge, Unigraphics NX, CATIA V5 and Pro/E in their native format. We accept file
formats in:

- IAM
- IDW

- IGES

Quality Manager is ASQ Certified Manager of Quality & Operational Excellence (CMQ/OE),
Quality Engineer (CQE) and Certified Quality Auditor (CQA).
Quality Control Capabilities
REI Manufacturing Division's Quality Control Department provides a full range of
Quality Control and Verification capabilities, from on-machine verification,
third-party inspections to required specifications, and tight-tolerance physical
and dimensional verification.
Quality Control department performs material receiving inspections, MTR validation to
required specification, dimensional inspection, documentation and final inspections.
Quality Control Lead is an ASQ Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA).
The Quality Control Lab is temperature and humidity monitored and controlled to
maintain consistency in measurements.
All inspection and measuring equipment used for final verification is calibrated by
REI's Calibration Division with complete access to all certificates and records.
Our Quality discipline is also capable of performing: third-party inspections to
required specifications; internal, external, and project-oriented Quality Audits; and,
Quality trainings and seminars.

Enterprise Resource Planning System
Rothe utilizes an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tool called E2, by ShopTech.
This software serves as the Manufacturing Division's business backbone, serving
purposes of estimating, planning, scheduling, resource management, labor tracking,
job or project control, quality control, payroll, purchasing and accounting. We are
offering our customers access to real-time job status through the WebView capabilities
built into E2.
