Gregory Lee Soape receives ASQ-Certified Manager of Quality/ Organizational Excellence
12 May 2008 (Houston, TX) Rothe is pleased to announce Gregory Lee Soape has completed the requirements to be named
an ASQ-Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence. As such, Gregory Lee Soape has reached a significant
level of professional recognition, indicating a proficiency in and a comprehension of quality management principles
and practices. Individuals who earn this certification are allowed to use “ASQ-CMQ/OE” on their business cards and
professional correspondence.

A CMQ/OE is a professional who leads and champions process improvements initiatives in organizations that range

facilitates and leads teams, establishes and monitor customer-supplier relations, supports strategic planning and
deployment, and helps develop measurement systems to assess the organization.
A CMQ/OE is also able to motivate and evaluate staff, manage projects, analyze financial information, identify and
evaluate risk, and use knowledge management tools and techniques.
"This [certification] is a great accomplishment and, although not a formal registration or licensure, it represents

Rothe Enterprises Manufacturing Division in Houston is diversifying its machine shop with new Haas Horizontal
Machining Center (EC-1600), Large CNC Lathe (SL-40), and Small CNC Lathe (SL-20).

Rothe Development, Inc. and Joint Venture Partner X-Technologies (DBA RX Joint Venture)
received pre-award notice to participate on the Alliant SB contract issued by the General Service Agency
(GSA) for Information Technology Support.
18 December 2007 (Houston, TX) Alliant Small Business has an estimated value of $15 billion over 10
years. The Alliant SB contract offers management and technical support services. It lets U.S government agencies
buy complex information technology products under a pre-competed multiple-award, indefinite-delivery,
indefinite-quantity contract.
GSA received 142 proposals from interested companies and awarded contracts to 62 of them that they
considered as being the most highly qualified offerors. These 62 successful bidders are now eligible
to bid on individual task orders which will be issued under the Alliant contract over the next 10 years.

1 December 2007 (Houston, TX) Rothe is pleased to announce Gregory Lee Soape has completed the
requirements set by The Certification Board of the American Society
for Quality and is now an ASQ-Certified Quality Auditor (ASQ CQA).
In order to sit for a CQA exam, an individual must have eight years of on-the-job
experience in one or more of the areas of the Certified Quality Auditor Body of
Knowledge.
"This [certification] is a great accomplishment and, although not a formal
registration or licensure, it represents a high level of peer recognition,"
explains Mike Nichols, President, American Society for Quality.
Successful candidates for this certification are expected to be able to apply a
variety of auditing techniques in examining, comparing, and evaluating products,
processes and quality systems to specific standards. Candidates must also be
able to plan, develop, communicate, and execute an audit within a defined scope.
The American Society

All Four Technicians from the RDI Precision Calibration Laboratory in San Antonio Pass
Rigorous Technical Examinations to Achieve American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Calibration
Technician (CCT) status.
1 December 2007 (Houston, TX) The American Society for Quality announced that Will R. Wright,
Carlos J. Vargas, Daniel P. Griffith, and Peter J. Stemmerman successfully achieved their
certifications as calibration technicians. In order to sit for a CCT exam, a candidate must
have at least five years of training and on-the-job experience in one or more areas of the body
of knowledge.
A Certified Calibration Technician (CCT), is a professional who understands the principles and
applications of metrology, calibration, and measurement systems. In addition, a successful
candidate must understand the principles of uncertainty as well as basic quality systems and the
application of quality tools and standards in a calibration environment.

Rothe Houston is pleased to announce to its customers that the firm now has the ability to accept credit card payments. Mike Johnson receives ASQ-Certified calibration technician recognition.

REI manufacturing division hires new quality manager.
4 June 2007 (Houston, TX) Rothe Enterprises, Inc. announced today the hiring of Greg Soape as
Quality Manager. Soape, formerly of Well Dynamics, joins the Rothe team on 11 June 2007.
Soape brings Rothe extensive Quality and Safety knowledge, especially in the realm of the ASTM,
API, OSHA, and ISO standards, as well as inspection, statistical process control, manufacturing
and production analysis, and QMS certification requirements. He is a senior member of the American
Society of Quality, and is the Education Committee Chairman on the Executive Leadership Team for the
Houston area.
As a driven, success-oriented individual, Soape will help Rothe Enterprises raise the bar of
performance. In short, he will help us make our customers even more successful than they already are,
and help grow our provider network, while improving their performance.
Soape will also be instrumental in our ongoing goal of achieving SAE AS9100 compliance and certification,
which we plan to accomplish in fall 2007.
